Opening today is The Jungle Book. The beloved childhood story of an orphaned boy who is raised by animals including wolves, Baloo the bear, and Bagheera the Black Panther comes to theaters again. The cartoon story comes to life with a real boy named Neel Sethi portraying Mowgli. Directed by (name), the infamous director of Iron Man, The story is retold using realistic animals and voice-over actors. We can all go listen to the “simple bare necessities to forget about your worries and your strife.” This movie is rated PG.
Barbershop 3: The Next Cut
Opening today is the comedy Barbershop 3: The Next Cut. A third edition to the Barbershop series where a group of men get together to tell the latest gossip and fix each other’s hair in Calvin’s Barbershop. The beloved story of Calvin and his crew changing their hairstyles and changing the neighborhood continues. The Barbershop has a new look because it’s now co-ed; the cast even features Nicki Minaj as the beautician in the shop. So, go enjoy an uplifting movie about love, family, sacrifice, and courage. This movie is rated PG-13.
Sing Street
This movie opened yesterday in theaters. It is a story about a young 14-year-old boy who takes the audience through a wave of emotion as he uses music to get rid of his pain. The boy goes through many traumatic encounters including bullying, and starts his own rock band to impress a girl and change his life. The movie is set in Dublin during the 1980s music scene, and shows how music can make a difference in someone’s life. So, if you want to see an inspirational movie which involves music, then go see Sing Street. This movie is rated PG-13.
