The Mannequin Challenge

The mannequin challenge….ok what is it? Well, it’s a challenge where you just stay still while someone records you with music playing in the back ground. People have different opinions of the Mannequin Challenge. Now, stay still and don’t move and keep reading.

The mannequin challenge is not hard but has gone viral. Why is that? Chloe Johnson said, “I think it when viral when social media spread the message around about a month ago." Well, it started with some high schoolers. After a while, a rap duo told their audience to stand extremely still for their own challenge that might have been where the music for the challenge originated.

The mannequin challenge is really popular, but what do the students think? "The Mannequin challenge is fun for friends and family,” said Bri Perkins. Which is true because of some of the teachers’ opinions. Mr. Sears, the dean of students, said, “It is fun!” but some teachers are not sure. Mr. Nelson, 6th grade science and sustainability teacher, did not know what it was. Mrs. Murakami, the STEM Foundations and computer programming teacher, said, "It’s weird."
